technology

I know that no one is reading right now but I just thought I would get on the blog to prove that I was not crazy last night. So here I am. Now I think that what ever we did to my laptop caused issues today at school. I wasn't able to get on the smart board, and my laptop kept kicking me off of my network. I was too terrified to tell the media specialist that I had been "playing" with my laptop. I will just let them figure that out themselves :)

Well, I guess I will try again next month to come along and write, this time I will check all excess luggage. :-o

From Sonya

Well now that we are finally on. I have been logging on from home but apparently it has been too long since the last time. I will have to fix it later.

Spring Break !!!
Daytona
Girls gone wild
week free of teacher
no classes for a week
no students for a week

We all think differently when the words Spring Break are mentioned.
I am really looking forward to a break, because when I hear those words I think "Vacation!" We try to take a vacation every year to keep the spice in our marriage and have a great family relationship. Let's see, our first vacation was to Kissimee, St. Cloud. That got me hooked. Growing up, I never really had the chance to "vacation". My dad was in the military so every move was like a vacation. Anyhow, we had a blast in St. Cloud. My in-laws have time share that they allow us to used once a year.
It is always so relaxing. I just like being away from the grind of everything. Last year we went to Myrtle Beach. It was so relaxing we came back with a souvenir, who arrived the week before Christmas.

Well, although Donna is doing a great job keeping my kids entertained, it is time for me to close and get all of my boys, Jerome Sr. included, to get something to eat!!

Spring break

It doesn't seem so long ago that we had our mini winter break. Most of the kids came back out of sorts, rules must have changed, but no one let me know beforehand., and they have turned from children just out of third grade into 5th grade monster wannabes. * more days of school and we will get a break of a whole week, Wonders, can we take out the weekend and make it the Beatle's song, and have one week of eight days??? Of course we will be testing the miiddle to end of the week next week, and that will help a bit, just because we will require silence for validation HAHA.

My break will be bittersweet. Of course, my hubby is still going to be away. Although I hope I can go to visit for at least a couple of days. My middle son, Sean, is growing up and will be going to Washington for a week. He gets to learn more about governmnet and even get to meet some of the dignitaries in that locale. But it seems wrong to be thinking that he will be old enough for that kind of trip, It seems as if he was just a baby and so dependent on me that it was scary. Now he is self sufficient in many ways and planning his future which will begin in just another short year. I can't help but wonder what the next few years will bring him. I hope all his ideals and dreams stay sharp.

I will barely have time to reflect on his leaving and becoming his own person answerable to none but himself, when Robert will be gone also. WOW! Two kids gone in two years. Will that be when I truly get a break? I have an idea that it will be just another beginning. So for this year at least, I will take time and enjoy the few days I have with whatever family is with me and rest up in preparation to prepare for the dreaded CRCT.

As for now, this is my break tonight. All too soon, I will be home and doing more work for school. And I thought I would get a break and have a relaxing time once I was done with classes....

Spring Fling

I know I proposed the topic, but I don't have any great insight on it. I just came back from Spring Break, which I spent in Panama City with family. Wes and I drove to PC Sunday morning, and he stayed until Tuesday morning. Then, Wednesday morning, my mom and two of my aunts came down, one of whom owned the condo. I'm not sure I mentioned this before, but she's my favorite aunt.

The sun sears through the glass door, causing my eyes to squint, particularly when someone opens it. I'm sure I have the Dent snarl on. My brother-in-law came up with that term for the "what the hell do you want?" face that he says my sister and all the women in our family wear. I don't think so. (But then again I've seen pictures of me that do seem to indicate a snarl.)

Okay, I took a break to help Sonya get on the blog--it never worked, so she posted through my connection. I played with Jonathan, what a cutie. And of course, JC helped me play with Jonathan. JC has an incredibly expressive face. It just glows with happiness. It takes him a little while to warm up to me--I'm guessing Sonya told him about Amy and me taking her to Grand Bay for the writing marathon last summer, so he always views me with a bit of suspicion (grin).

Jonathan's pudge is adorable. I wish my pudge were adorable instead of just fat. Sonya, you need to post a picture of Jonathan. For this 2007 Fellows, I find myself thinking, "I played with Jonathan, and you didn't . . . Na na na na na na." Yes, I just reverted back to three-year-old behavior. Oh well.

I missed you all tonight. I hope you are well and that I hear from you on the blog.

Write Night

Topic for March Write Night: Spring Break

You can tell funny stories about past Spring Break experiences or write about your longing for Spring Break or complain about VSU's Spring Break not matching that of your school. You can write about spring weather, about skimpy attire, about favorite vacations. As always, you can completely ignore the topic and write whatever you want. We'd love to hear from you.
