Book I had to share!
This weekend, a children's author came to Tifton and read one of his books. He also had other books for sale. We bought The Monster Who Did My Math and I highly recommend it. Kristen, I couldn't help but think of you because it does such a wonderful job of integrating math and reading!

I love when authors come and sign their books! It makes me feel special for some reason. Who knows why? I haven't heard of it, but I will definitely check it out. I keep trying to find a balance with my third graders because it is different reading to them than it was my first graders. They would really get into the story, and I sometimes feel like my third graders just stare at me! : )

I get the same response with my college students when I share from my journal. Many days I question why I even bother!!

Keep at it. A few will remember nuggets here and there years from now. The influence isn't always immediate.
