Write Night Topic: Hot, Hot, Hot

It's the first post-Institute Write Night at City Market. I'm posting the topic before I head that way just in case I have trouble connecting there.

I just rushed to the grocery story, so the July heat is on my mind, but take the topic wherever you want: summertime activities, weather issues, what's hot to you (but keep it clean), times you've been burned, whatever. Or ignore the topic altogether and write whatever you want. I hope to see you in person or on the blog.
