Langdale Park

I can't believe how calm and serene the ambience is here. Even with people fishing and the distance roar of cars and simi trucks from the highways. This place, this feeling--is the definition of tranquility. I can hear the birds singing a melody that soothes my spirit. It's a love song about nature and man. The air smells as though it's been cleansed by the algae that covers the ground like a blanket. The air is light fresh--clean!

People are walking. One man in particular has walked, and waved, and walked by again. Another sits quietly smoking a cigarette. This act alone contrasts with the behavior of the algae. But, the algae seems to win and it's essence is all that can be smelled.

Could that be a duck I hear calling out in the distance? Perhaps geese? I don't know, but his voice is loud, powerful as if he is commanding others.

As I look around I first think to myself, this is a science classroom. Full of life science and physical science. What a magical place!

The red truck parked on the side seems out of place. Lost. The red seems to bring out a maliciousness as it attempts to blend itself with the green.

  • I enjoyed your visit to the park. I felt as I were there. The sound you heard could have been Canada Geese. They do have commanding voices.
