Umbrellas
Why doesn't someone invent a better tool than an umbrella to help us stay dry in a storm? Just think of all their many faults:
* They don't protect from about your thighs down, sometimes even higher. Why is it there
is nothing worse than soaking wet shoes? And umbrellas definitely don't help there.
* They flip inside out whenever there is wind (and when is there rain without wind?)
* Hard to get into and out of vehicles without getting wet, so you get drenched anyhow.
* Aren't they lightening rods? Metal poles in the air?
I don't know - you'd think someone could do better. I mean, I use them because they do the best job available, and I'm NOT going to wear a poncho. (Yes, I admit, I am somewhat vain, but what girl isn't?) But still, I would love something better.

That could be a fun writing prompt: necessary inventions. Or maybe we could draw the kind of thing we need. I can imagine all kinds of possibilities. See, I think I just need a driver for days like today.

Kind of in the same realm, but do tall people stay drier than short people? As I walked in on Tuesday, I was amazed by how dry Breah was while I was sopping wet. Maybe it was because because she is tall, and I am short?
